Hike For Minds Jackson Hole
August 12, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
This August, Brain Health Kitchen is teaming up with Maria Shriver and the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement to bring Move For Minds™ to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Move For Minds™ is a series of Alzheimer’s awareness events that takes place in New York, Boston, San Francisco and Los Angeles each June as part of Brain Awareness Month. Brain Health Kitchen is leading the charge to hold Alzheimer’s awareness events throughout the year with this inaugural Hike For Minds Jackson Hole, a fun hike in the Tetons on a beautiful summer day. The goal: Raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and funding for Alzheimer’s research through the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement.
Read more about what I learned at last year’s Move For Minds here.
Every 65 seconds a new brain develops Alzheimer’s. Two out of three belong to women and no one knows why. We want to change that — and you can help. — Maria Shriver
I invite you to hike with me at Hike For Minds Jackson Hole as a part of team Brain Health Kitchen on August 12. We’ll hike from the Old Pass Road trailhead to Crater Lake (about 1 mile up) or continue to the summit of Teton Pass (another 4 miles up). Donations start at just $25. All proceeds go to the movement to ramp up research to find out how to end Alzheimer’s. We can’t wait to see you out there!
I will do everything I can to fight this disease, and I will never stop fighting until it’s defeated. Saving your mind is my mission. — Maria Shriver
Hikers: Join me at the Old Pass Road Trailhead off Highway 22 just outside of Wilson, Wyoming at 9 am on August 12. Bring: water, sun protection, sturdy shoes and bear spray!
Questions: contact me at brainhealthkitchen@gmail.com.
Can’t make the hike? Please share with your friends and family! And I would be honored if you would consider donating to my page to benefit the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement:
